July 11/2017

Today I did my 10th radiation, I am now half way through. Yippie !!!! So far so good, I do not have any side effects. Although my doctor says I will get some. I am feeling great and back to all my normal activities.  I did sneak a little nap in today and yesterday but other than a wee bit tired, I am doing so good.

Last Friday after my radiation I decided to treat myself to a pedicure, I love getting them. I stopped on my way home in St Albert, it was about 4:30 I think I was the last one of the day because there was nobody else in there. Except for a little girl who I think was one of the employees daughter. She was playing off to the side with her my little ponies. I noticed everyone talking to her and getting her treats and a drink. But I never spoke to her. Then when I was all done the technician put my sandles on and I got ready to leave. This little girls about 4 years old came up to my chair. She said what happened to your hair?  Because I am not wearing my hat anymore..I told her I cut it all off, she looked at me and said BUT WHY? I had to chuckle. This little girl had a head of hair she could sit on it. I told her I just like short hair.  ( but I don’t like mine this short)  it was really kind of cute. She took that explantation and off she went. Out of the mouths of babes ❤️

Last Saturday I had the privalage to go shopping with my niece Danielle for her wedding dress. It was so much fun. Having no daughters I thought I would never get to do that. She found the dress she loved and her Mom and I both loved it too. So now we wait for the wedding day. Oh yea and she asked if Jamie and I would let her have her wedding here at our acerage. Of course we said yes. It will be beautiful here. I can’t wait. It is next summer August of 2018 💍

I have a guy working here on my house. We are re-siding the whole house and shop because of the damage we got in the storm in May when I was in Mexico. But it is a job in frustration, first of all the guy has been here all last week and only has 2 and 1/2 walls done. He asked me if he could work all weekend and I said yes of course. I want it done before  I go to spend August with Jamie. Then he didn’t show up, he finally showed up Monday and stayed for about an hour as he sat in his truck having coffee. Then he left and never came back. He was starting at 7 am. Today he got here about 9:30 I was getting ready and doing a few things before I left for town, I went out to talk to him at 11:00 and he was gone again. He only took 1/2 the siding off of one wall today. Now I have two 1/2 walls of siding on. I hope it doesn’t rain tonight. I sent a e-mail to his boss tonight. I am afraid insurance has paid them out, I can’t understand what is taking so long. Very frustrating. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some answers. 

I went for lunch today with a very good friend of mine. We have been friends since our kids started school. We lost touch for a few years as our lives got very busy. But we are back in touch now. And making up for lost time. She just went through a terrible loss and I think we can relate on that scale now too. We had such a good visit. I have missed her. Thanks JoAnn for the great lunch and great visit. We will definatley be doing that more. 😘

One last thing I have quite a lot of hair now and I am still going without my hat. I feel so free. Thanks to my guys for talking me into ditching the hat 👒
