July 21/2017 

It seems the closer I get to finally being done my radiation the slower time goes. I just can’t wait to get away and spend some time with Jamie and the boys. I need to learn more patients even at my age !!! 

So I met a lady at my radiation today, that I have kind of made a friendship with. She too has breast cancer she is getting 14 radiation treatments. She told me today she had to go see the nurses to help her with care as she has blisters that are open wounds. She said she is a real mess, and was all bandaged up. She told me it was very painful and she is having trouble sleeping. I showed her my chest with a small rash, she was so surprised. Today was round 13 for her and round 18 for me. I sure need to thank my Mexico doctor because my DMSO seems to be working. Although I did take a class yesterday and they told me that the radiation continues in your body for two weeks after you finish. I sure hope I don’t get the wounds. Because our immune systems are so compromised after chemo and radiation healing is very difficult. I was told to go straight to the hospital if I find any open wounds. Fingers crossed I will not. 🙏🏼

A short post tonight because I had one last night.  I thought everyone would be glad to know I wore my sandles today to the Cross, instead of my slippers. I was sure glad that I remembered because I had lots of stops today. I finally got the go ahead to get my Botox for my headaches, so I did that today, I did however walk around with little lumps all over my forehead and neck. But I still think that is better than my slippers lol

I did finally get a picture of the little green face from my radiation lasers. I will add a picture now. You can all let me know what you think. Kind of cool to me. It is a green square face two eyes and mouth wide open.  That’s what I see what do you see?  This is also where the sign is telling me to be careful or I will be radiated. I need to laugh. 😊 or I will surely loose my mind.
