My third journey to SanDiego/Tijuana is over and I arrived home safe and sound. A long day of traveling and always a worry going through customs with all the supplements that are keeping me alive and feeling so well. But the custom agents were awesome in Calgary and didn’t even ask me why I was so over on what I was aloud to bring back into Canada. The agent actually told me to hurry if I was to catch my connecting flight to Edmonton, I got to the other end of the airport riding on a cart they have in the airport, for hauling people around. And yes I used the cancer card, I told them that I had cancer and I didn’t think I could walk the whole way by myself. They were totally accommodating. Thanks Calgary,
So I need to do another thank you to my friend Angie, as she got caught up in customs and I had to leave her behind. So we didn’t get to do good-bye’s. It is a long two weeks in San Diego and then Tijuana. Going back and forth in the shuttle to the clinic, spending long days at the clinic, takes a toll on a person. Lucky for us we got a few good days, the first day we got to San Diego we stayed downtown and walked along the water and just enjoyed our time in the sun. Then our day trip to Las Angelos going to SUR was so much fun. Finally our last day we also spent downtown and took the trolley on a tour. It was so much fun, and we stopped and went to all the little shops along the way. We had lots of fun. Angie I really appreciate you spending two weeks with me on “MY” long journey through cancer treatments. I know you took two weeks out of your life and away from your family, just for me. I will forever be greatfull. Thanks Angie 👍🏻😊
So now I go forward and as per my tests I can put the big “C” behind me for a while and live my life. This has been two long years of surgeries, Canadian treatments and then finally my Tijuana treatments. I think I have been through enough for a while, and so has my family. So now I am going to focus on my family and get things back on track. We all need to spend some quality time together. That is exactually what my Dr in Mexico told me as I saw him last day. Doctors orders !!!!
Today as I sat at the airport in San Diego at the airport waiting for my airplane. I met some very special friends that I had met on my first trip to Tijuana. They were both just arriving to start treatment on Monday. I so wish that I could have been at the clinic with them so we could catch up. But hopefully next time our paths will cross so we can meet up at the clinic. So Joan and Laurie all the best with treatments. My heart will be with you guys. Joan I just know everything is going to be great. 🙏🏼❤️
Of course as I said before I met some wonderful friends again at the clinic. Old and new. But one young girl just touched my heart, Lauralee I wish the best for you. You are very strong and you will get through all this and see the big bright light on the other side. We will keep in touch, and I want to hear all your good news. Hold onto the wonderful Mom you have she is a gem too. Good luck my friend 😘
So tomorrow back to reality, as we celebrate my beautiful Grandaughter Ava’s birthday. I am looking forward to seeing all the family, and spending some time together. Life is great. Lucky me 👍🏻😀
Today’s saying : That moment….you are alone, you are climbing, you are breathing hard, you are convincing yourself that this is nothing, you are in your element, you can do this !!!
