Where does the time go ? I have been so busy working on my house to get it ready to sell. I just haven’t taken the time to write my blog.
Jamie has already been home for two weeks from Manchester. He had a great time and loved Europe. I spent the week he was gone mostly going through my house to de-clutter. Most people love to de-clutter it is freeing for them. But for me I miss everything I put away. I find it sad to have so much of the stuff I love so much put into boxes. I did get 6 boxes of stuff to sell so I did de-junk somewhat. But before I sell any of it I will go back through it. Ha ha ha Jamie is rolling his eyes as he reads this now.
I have also been busy working on my yard. Getting it ready for the shower for my niece on June 9th. Also getting it ready for maybe a potential buyer. I have painted and raked and planted something in every corner of my yard. I have been working non-stop. With my trusty side kick (Jamie) helping me along the way. We have the yard looking pretty good now too. Jamie has planted another 12 trees I think. I don’t know what he will do if we move, he spends every evening watering the whole yard. It is paying off. ππ»π³π²π
I did have one mishap through all this work. On Thursday morning I started out to sand and re-paint my front step. It had some old paint I needed to get off before I could paint. So I got my grinder ( a welders grinder but mine is a smaller size ) I think I was trying to be a welders helper. Dugh !!!!!!! I started to sand the step but I caught my pointer finger on my left hand in the grinder, it ripped 1/2 my nail off and gave me a deep cut on the nail bed of that finger. I knew I was in trouble because my glove was all tangled up in the grinder. I was a little scared to take the glove off. But when I did it was a deep hole and most of my finger nail was missing. But no blood. I was so surprised. I went into the house to check my painful wound and clean it. Still no blood. I got some band aids and wrapped my finger up. Just then Mac showed up. Jamie came up from the back yard then too. I told them what I had done and they started to laugh calling it a Bronc move. They wanted to see it but I wouldn’t show them. Then they both said no blood either hey!! I was yea. They told me that a cut from the grinder cauterize its self. That’s why there was no blood !!!! So I did get them to help me finish the step after all laughing. Step looks great finger is still pretty soar. But better than it was. π€
I am still feeling really good. It is hard to believe a year ago at this time I was in Mexico for my first round of treatments. I have a friend I met while I was there who is not doing to good right now. I just heard from her tonight. So any of you who believe in prayer please say a prayer for my friend Maryam she needs all she can get right now. Thanks β€οΈ
I have a few more projects to do in the yard yet next week but for the most part I am feeling pretty good about everything. Now I just want to keep this momentum going. ππ»
