Well here we are back in San Diego/Tijuana again. We (Cathy) and I have been here a whole week already. Actually on the countdown to coming home. We come home Friday. 👍🏻

Treatments are going great and I feel so good, my doctor has changed up my plan again as I continue to show no new signs of cancer showing up. But there is always that worry in the back of my mind it “COULD” come back. My cancer numbers are great I was at 18 last time and I have actually gone down to 7 now. So numbers don’t lie as my doctor says and I am going with that. Lol. I also got great news that I don’t need to come back for a year, I am very happy about that too.

The clinic is not very busy this time. Cathy and I have been the only two people on the shuttle for 3 days. Crazy !!!!! Because last time I was here in April it was a full load everyday 15 people. We have also been really lucky going through the border we get right through in the mornings and our afternoons have also been great. Saturday was our longest and it was “only” two hours. That is great after the first few trips here were 4 or 5 hour waits. We’re happy with these time, but like really it is not like we have a choice.

I have again met some really great people this trip, I love the people I meet here everyone is so kind, and everyone is always trying to lift up each other. We all give each other our medical histories and no one is scared to share or embarrassed to share their stories. I truly believe in sharing with each other we are helping each other. That is the best gift we can ever give another person. Especially a fellow patient, whether it be cancer or not. I met a lady Jan from Grand Prairie and she has truly helped me get through the long days and stressful moments here. She always has a smile and a funny story to tell. Thanks Jan

Cathy and I have had some funny moments here too. On Friday a couple guys moved into the room just two doors down from ours. They looked really sketchy to both of us. They have a white truck backed right up to the door of their room . I got the creeps when I had to walk by them on our way to supper. But even worse after supper when we headed back to our room they had the end gate to the truck down both back doors to the truck open and they were standing in the doorway of their room watching us go by. The blood left my body and I got a shiver that went all through my body. They were so so creepy. I got Cathy spooked after that and we locked ourselves in for the night and put the chair up to the door. Lol lol but the next morning as we headed for breakfast one of them was standing at the door and just as I walked by he tried to step out. I actually screamed…….we were so happy when we got back to our room Saturday night and they were gone. “BUT” again tonight they are at our motel again and staying just two doors down. We will be taking the long way around to the restaurant and home tonight. 😳🤯😲

Cathy and I took an adventure yesterday. We went to downtown San Diego to Sea Port Village. We took the bus then the tram then another tram. We were so proud of ourselves, no problems we found the village and spent the day. We had a beautiful lunch sitting on a patio in the sunshine, we did a little shopping then headed to the train station to come back. First tram was great, then the next tram……..that is when it went for shit. We missed our stop and ended up at the Mexican border. Finally got some help as to which bus to take to our motel. But it took the longest route we were sure that it was the wrong way. Finally after about 1 1/2 hours we were back to our motel. And very happy to be.

Here is my little bit of Bitchin…….. we are staying at the Best Western they have a points system. You get points for every dollar you spend to stay here. I actually got $10.00 coupons after my first stay for each night I did stay. Well they will no longer give me the points or the 10.00 coupons. They say that I am on a special price going to the clinic. I lost my shit today with the manager and the BW 1 800 number. They will not honour this. I am getting a deal at 147.00 a night. But yet met people staying for 87.00 a night. Then the shuttle is 60.00 a day per person. They whole thing sucks. But nothing I can do now. Pretty sure next time will be a different place to stay and find my own transportation. Much less than they are offering. Ok bitchin over sorry just needed to get that out…..😠

Finally how can I thank my side kick ( Cathy ) again for making this trip with me. After my last trip being a rough one. She has been on this journey with me from the beginning. The good the bad and the ugly. Not everyone has someone who will drop their lives for them. Pack up and leave their family to come and stay in a seedy motel take a shuttle across the border to “Tijuana” and sit in said shuttle for hours on end with them to go back to seedy motel. Then do all over again the next day. Thanks Cathy I hope you know how much I love you, and how much my family appreciates the time you have given to me. ❤️❤️❤️
