Mexico time

May 23/2017

Started my second week of treatment down here in Mexico. I am so happy to tell everyone that I am feeling more like my old self everyday. These treatments seem to be working for me, I am so happy I made the decision to come down here.

I am missing home and my family of course, but thanks to them for letting me come here as they all stayed home and are taking care of the home front. As everyone knows my Jamie works away a lot and I spend lots of time home while he is away working. This is the first time he has ever been home alone without me and he is taking care of the house the yard everything. So proud of you Babe. I miss you very much, I know you miss me too Thanks to Mac and his gang for keeping Jamie busy too, having him over for meals and then tonight went out to our place with supper there for him. Just knowing that everyone is ok at home helps me to just concentrate on me here. I love you all so much keep up the good work. ❤️

I did bring my sister down here with me and I need to thank her for all she gave up to be here with me. She missed Mother’s Day, today is her birthday and we spent two hours in a van sitting waiting to get across the border, back to our motel. We did go out for supper tonight and she got a glass of wine and a piece of pie. ( No cake at this restaurant, and she said the wine was not so good) but we tried lol Then this weekend is her Grandaughters 4th birthday and we will still be here. I can never give her these special days back but I will forever be grateful for this time we have spent together. Thanks Sis 😇

A little more about my stay down here. We have had to learn that things in Mexico go slow, we are calling it “Mexico time” and that it is. Nobody is ever in a rush for anything. I am learning to slow my pace down a whole lot. We cross the border morning and afternoon, it is the largest boarder crossing in the world so we are told and it is large,26 lanes and miles and miles of traffic coming and going both ways all day all night long. We are in total aw everyday at the volume of traffic. Most days we have about a 2 hour wait to get across the border, but we have entertainment as we see all the Mexican barters selling there goods. Everything you can imagine is for sale here. We have also seen a few take downs, everyday is something new. Quite the experience for sure

I am not going to write about all the different treatments I am getting here. But I will say it all makes much better sence than the deadly poison of chemo I was getting. I have no problem talking about my treatment one on one to those who want or need to know. But it is far to much to write on here. Just know that for me this is the right choice and I am very glad to be here.

Today’s saying : Heavy is the crown and yet she wears it as if it were a feather. There is strength in her heart, determination in her eyes and the will to survive resides within her soul.  She is you. A warrior, a champion, a fighter, a queen.

  7. I remember helping my sister through treatments – quitting my job and doing it as a new job. It was rewarding to be there for her and no matter how exhausting it is you are never going to complain because your sister is going through such a horrible experience. We do this because it is more importAnt than anything else at the moment. Thank you Cathy for being there for Beth and thank you Beth for giving us all such inspiration 💝💝
