Got my groove back

August 10/2017

I have been in Fort St John for two weeks now. Totally enjoying my time here, spending lots of time with Jamie and Mac and this week Jolee and all four kids. I have seen Gordon here and there but he is finding himself busy with outside activities. He knows what I mean.

I have spent all week with Jolee and the kids doing crafts and fun stuff. Today I did mani and pedi’s on all three girls. Most days I have fun doing different hair do’s. And all 4 kids are having turns staying over night with Jamie and I in out trailer. They are so excited to stay with us, but we go to bed early. Chloee was the first to stay last night, first time she has ever stayed with us. She loved the big king size bed Jolee and all three of the other kids were over this morning before she even got up. She slept for 12 hours in that big bed. I had to keep getting up, I am a light sleeper and she would toss and turn kicking me or hitting me with her arms, I just could not sleep with her. But Jamie slept right through. Lol. Tonight is Hannah’s turn.

So when I was still home I told my little Mercedies in for a few things to get fixed, nothing seemed to major to me but when they gave me a quote for the stuff to fix it was 4 thousand dollars. I almost had a heart attack, I decided not to fix anything . The car is 12 years old and we only paid 10 thousand when we bought it. Well when I got here to Fort St John with my car, Jamie said he thought we should get those things fixed we do use that car 1/2 the year. So I looked around for a place that works on foreign cars. Found a really nice place all young mechanics really willing to work on my car. I gave then the list of problems and told them if it was over $1000.00 I would not be fixing it. Could they please give me an estimate  if it was going to be to much. I took it in at noon and at 2:30 they phoned and said it was all fixed. I said really? Everything? They said yes. I then added the dreaded question, how much. The girl on the other end of the phone said $244.00 I said WHAT? She repeated it. I said what did they fix? She told me everything. I could not believe it. I go get my car yes it is all fixed, Mercedies told me I needed a new pump of some kind that was $2000.00. This young mechanic told me it was a fuze. I am one happy Mercedies owner. Lol. I plan on following this up with Mercedies. I think I need to tell them that they were full of shit as to what I needed done. Crazy !!!!!!!

I like shopping at second hand stores to get all kinds of weird junk. Last Saturday I found one downtown so I decided to go check it out. I parked down the street and was walking to the store, when I noticed a very drunk man walking towards me he was staggering all over the sidewalk and was actually carrying a beer in his hand. I started to walk a little faster, then I noticed he was too, so I sped up then he did too. I could see the door handle so I kind of jolted to it and this very drunk man jumped to the door and grabbed the handle before me. I actually let out a screem, he scared me so bad. Then he said in a very drunken slur, I just wanted to open the door for a beautiful lady..he said sorry I didn’t mean to scare you, I said no problem and ran inside shaking. Man what a chicken I am. But you better believe I looked outside to be sure he was gone before I left. 😬

Now that I know where the laundromat is, I have been doing my wash first thing in the morning. I seem to still be on Alberta time and I get up very early here. It makes for a early start to my day. I did my wash early Monday morning, BUT when I look the load of my light colours and delicates ( underwear and nightie ) out of the washing machine I found a old dirty wool sock stuck to the side of the washer. Yup grossed me right out..I had to re-wash that load, slowed me up some but there was no way I could not wash it again. Now I will be checking much better for any left over stuff in the machines before I wash my clothes again. Fool me once shame on you…fool me twice shame on me. You will not get this girl twice. A little out of practice with the laundromats but I got my groove back now. 👍🏻

One month from today I am heading back to San Diego and Mexico for my maintance. Wow the time is flying by. I am still feeling really good. I never got any blisters on my chest just what looks like a bad sunburn that is now peeling. But on Monday I found a blister under my left arm, I had not noticed before. It got pretty bad. It is totally my fault, but I still have no feeling under my arm and so I didn’t feel anything there. I am treating it now just like a bad burn. Darn it I was doing so good. But it is still minor compared to what I have heard from other people. Cancer sucks and by the way so does radiation.

Tomorrow is one year since I had the accident with the Kabota . I can’t believe it is already a year. Sure glad I have that behind me too. Pelvis is all healed up now like it never happened. Lucky for me I heal well…lol lol

Tonight’s saying : Without rain nothing grows,we must learn to embrace the storms of life..  ❤️
