September 4/2017

My time here in Fort St John is winding down. Hard to believe I have been here for 6 weeks. I left home in July and I am going home in September. Feels like I left home in summer and I am coming home in the fall. The days are shorter now and we actually have to turn the heat on in the trailer most mornings and some nights too. Jamie was leaving to work in the daylight and coming home in daylight. Now he leaves in the dark but luckily still comes home in the daylight. You can just feel Fall is in the air. 

Jamie had a 4 day weekend off. The decided to give everyone that time because all the guys gave been away from home for 3 months. I know my guys really enjoyed going home and spending time with the family. Jamie had 1 to 2 sleeps everyday. I think he has finally caught up on sleep. We went out last night for a nice supper and then decided to try our hands at the casino. Why??? I don’t know. I am so unlucky when it comes to that place. But Jamie found a little of Lady Luck, I quickly cashed in and we left. Lol lol 

Next week at this time I will be in Mexico already having my first treatment. I am going back in much better shape than when I went down there in May. But the stuff they give you makes you feel so great I can’t wait to see how I feel after treatment this time. Hoping my numbers are great too. Maybe my cancer has stopped growing 👍🏻

My blisters and open soars from my radiation are healing up good. I am so happy about that. I definatley have to do the exercises the Cross gave me because the skin is pulling really tight. I don’t want yo loose mobality in that arm, and that is what could happen. It is nothing to hard just a lot of swinging my arms around. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love to do exercise. So not to worry I am sticking to the plan.lol 😊

We did have one little glitch in Jamie’s 4 days off …….. His C-Pap machine quit working, not sure why. But I have had 2 nights of hell, and no sleep. I forgot how bad his snoring was, anybody who has someone using that machine for snoring knows what I mean. Luckily with the boys going home I got one of them to bring back his second machine from home. So luckily I will get sleep tonight again. Really though poor Jamie he does not get a good nights sleep without his machine either. So all his catching up on sleep and he will be still tired…

We went yesterday for mani-pedi’s. I think Jamie likes them as much as me. We got to talking to the girl doing mine. She is here from Vietnam she works from 3:30 am at Tim Hortons every day and then goes to her second job at the nail place from noon to 7 pm everyday. Seven days a week, she told me she has not had a day off in 5 years. I really wonder if that is even legal for either of those businesses. But she told me she has no family here so she just works all the time.  Really it is quite sad. 👎🏻 she really was a nice girl. I promised here I would be back to see her when I get back here from Mexico.
