I’ve learned a lot this year

October 2/2017

This is a pretty “BIG” post, it is my 100th. Wow!  when I started this I was hoping to do maybe 20. It is amazing to me, that my friends and family want to hear about my life.  I really hope that I am helping people with my stories. I know that telling my life in this blog has really helped me. How many people can say they have had two cancers a broken pelvis, gone through chemo and radiation all in one year? Then went to Mexico not once but twice fir alternative treatment, that changed my life forever. It even sounds a little unbelievable to me. Lol lol  thanks to everyone who has followed me and kept up with me on my journeys to wellness. It has meant the world to me, to know that so many people care ❤️

I had a great weekend with a very special friend of mine coming up from Calgary to spend a few days with me. She even helped me do some yard work.  I told her I really wanted to finish up winterizing my yard, as I hope to go see Jamie again soon. So like a real trooper she came outside with me and help me cut down my plants and finish up the weeding. When I told her what I was doing, cutting down all plants, she said she had never done it and wanted to learn what to do….”Well” I was only too happy to teach her the ropes on getting my yard ready for winter. Thanks so much for your help Angie, I hope you learned a few things without being to soar after. 😘

After we finished our yard work on Saturday, Angie and I had supper and got all settled in for a relaxing night. When a commercial came on TV for the movie “IT”……it is a scary horror movie. I love these kinds of movies , I watch them all the time when Jamie is away, because he dosent like them, nobody in my family would ever go with me. I even tried to talk Cathy into going to “IT” when we were in San Diego but no way. Lol…Anyway it was about 7:30 pm and when I told Angie she said I would go with you. Up we got and off we went to the horror movie. But like so many horror movies it was not really that scary, although we did jump a few times when a scary clown jumped out at you. Lol lol. Finally I have a friend who will go with me to these scary movies to bad you live so far away in Calgary Angie. 👻

My health is very good right now. My Hoxey diet is going good, I feel so great, I am so happy that I found out about the clinic in Mexico. That place has surely given me back my quality of life. I thank Jens and Gina for telling me about that wonderful clinic, and a big shout out to my friend Gina who has been going for treatment there too, she just got great news and is doing really good. She also received the news that she can stay home for 6 months, just like me . So happy for both of us. 👍🏻

I plan on going back to Fort St John hopefully by the weekend, because I know that family time is so important. And that is where I want and need to be with my Jamie and Mac and Gordon ( who I don’t see much there anyway, because he has found a new love lol, but I am happy for him that he has finally found a truly great girl ). The only way it would be better would be if Jolee and all my grandkids could be with us for Thanksgiving. This year I am truly thankful for my life and my family. Hopefully my guys get a day off so we can celebrate with a turkey dinner all together. 🐓

I am coming up to a year since my diagnoses of breast cancer, and a year and a half with my kidney cancer diagnoses. All my doctors are sending me follow up appointments. I have 3 different appointments in November, the kidney cancer dr, the breast cancer dr, and then my oncologist at the Cross. I just hope they can all use the same blood samples. 🤓 I can’t wait to see how all my tests come out after my results from Mexico. I think my doctors will be very surprised. I can’t wait to see their faces. 🤔😳😏

So off I go on my next experience to Fort St John, to see my guys. The best thing I can do now is just go live my life. So that’s what I am going to do. 🤓 happy me 💐

Today’s saying : I’ve learned a lot this year…..I learned that things don’t always turn out the way you planned, or the way you think they should. And I’ve learned that there are things that go wrong that don’t always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I’ve learned that some broken things stay broken , and I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.

And lucky me I have a lot of people who love me ❤️
