I am settling back into BC life quite well. Although we got two full weeks of rain all day all night when I first got back.. I love pipeline life ❤️……. Finally this week starting September 7th we have sunshine in the forecast for a full week. The first time in 16 weeks since I got here. I am so loving it. I even had the air conditioner on yesterday for a few hours, as the temperature reached +27. Most nights I use a hot water bottle to keep me warm. But no hot water bottle this week. Yippie.
I am keeping busy. This week with the warm weather I decided to do some painting. I painter the steps and the hitch. I did it yesterday in the +27. So today I plan on painting the frame under the trailer. It looks so much better. But oh I am a messy painter I had paint everywhere. I wore shorts and my legs were covered then my arms and my face even my glasses. Thank goodness I had gas to take it all off. But I had to shower again to get the gas off. Lol lol. Hopefully I finish today. I love pipeline life❤️. Who know I was such a great painter? messy but good.
The boys all had a long weekend off last weekend 3 days off. It rained off and on all weekend. Mac’s wife flew here for the weekend was so nice of her to come. With four kids getting a weekend off is not easy. I love pipeline life❤️. We did go fishing on Sunday and Mac caught a 12 pound sockeye salmon. It was so awesome. Jolee and I each caught a dead fish. I was like what???? I guess after they have finished laying their eggs the fish die. There was dead fish everywhere. In the water on the shores. It was kind of creepy. Then we saw a few really awful looking fish swimming very slowly along the shores, the locals told us they were zombie fish no good for eating and just getting ready to die. So sad the poor girl fish lay their eggs and keep the cycle going then their reward is they die. That seems so unfair. 😢 I have become a pretty good fisherwoman I have caught something the last couple times I went fishing and my casting has drastically improved. Who knew I could fish so well ?
The covid has still not hit this area and things are so lax. Very few people wear masks except at Walmart. I wear them a lot but I must say I do find it hard for to long with my asthma. I really didn’t understand at first why asthmatics were having trouble. But the longer I wear one the worse it is. I have had to take it off a few time to catch my breath. There was a case in the camp Mac is staying at in Kitimat. So they went into lockdown and the guys couldn’t go anywhere in camp and needed masks even in hallways and to and from the vehicles. But the two weeks are up now and everything seems good. I guess they contained it well. Nice to see that plan worked. None of us like the masks but I guess it is part of our lives now. Who knew I would rock these masks like this ? I love pipeline life. ❤️
My health is still good 🤞🏻 fingers crossed. With cutting down on my supplements I am pretty sure I can make it until February or March before I run out now. Hopefully by then we will have some answers to this crazy covid life. I was actually supposed to go to Tijuana this month. Mexico is one of the worst places for covid right now. I don’t want to go there. Not on a plane then use taxi’s and hotel rooms. I am looking to catch covid if I do all that. So I will wait and see how things go. For now I am doing good and keeping up with my supplements every other week. Who knew we would be in a pandemic when I was travelling to Tijuana for cancer treatment ?
We are still not sure if we will be here through winter. We have heard a lot of horror stories about the snow here. They can get 6 feet of snow in a 24 hour period or less. I mean that is 1/2 way up the sides of my trailer walls. I probably couldn’t get out my door or see out my windows. Scary 🤪. We have also been told that it is the law you have to have winter tires on your vehicle. I love pipeline life❤️. So Jamie sent me to the tire shop to see about tires. Our car is 8 years old this year and we have never replaced the tires. (But we didn’t drive it lots when we had the old truck and my little sports car it only has 45thousand klm.) anyway tires are EXPENSIVE. They want $400.00 dollars a tire for winter tires. I left without them. I guess I will wait and see if we are still here when the snow flies. Hard to think of it when it is +27 today. I will think about it next week. 😎. Who knew tires were so expensive ?
I joke about pipeline life. But I really do love it. We have been so many great places and met so many wonderful people. It is so nice that I dont have to worry about driving back and forth to see Jamie now. Although I do turn up the radio 📻 when I am driving and sing along to all the songs. Who knew I was such a great singer? It really makes the time go fast. But my last drive of 12 hours was a lot. This time when I was home I went to my Dr for my Botox for migraines. He really has supported me in my Mexico/Tijuana treatments as he lost his wife 5 years ago to breast cancer. The same type as I had. He always asks how I am. As he seen me at my worst very sick no hair and green skin colour then a migraine on top of it all. I told him we sold our acreage and we moved into our 40 foot trailer so I could be together with my husband. He said something to me this time that really struck a cord. He said “ You go be with your husband. Your living on borrowed time. Go enjoy your life.” He said” I wish my wife and I had done just that”. I thanked him for saying that to me it made me feel good. So that’s what we are doing living on borrowed time. Enjoy our life together. I LOVE PIPELINE LIFE. And I love my Jamie. I thank GOD for our borrowed time. ❤️❤️
Today’s saying : No one is you….. And that’s your power !
Beth😇

Once again you have made me laugh. Your writing is so descriptive I can see you with paint all over, the disgust on your face with the rainy weather and the price of winter tires. So glad you are still feeling good. Mexico would be that last place you should be. Enjoy your pipeline life. Who knew you were so funny…..we ALL did!!!
