Family Time

July 31/2017

I arrived July 27/2017 safe and sound in Fort St John BC. My guys are all working so they left my car at the airport the night before so I could drive myself back to the trailer. I was happy to have my feet planted safely on the ground. Those little puddle jumper planes are pretty rough riding. They also make all kinds of creeky noises and sounds. A couple of times I actually thought the engines had stopped. Yikes. 🛩

As soon as I got to the trailer I knew I was going to have to do some cleaning and organizing getting it into shape for me to stay. I first took the bedding to the laundry when I told  Jamie I had washed the bedding he said why? I mostly sleep on top of the covers. But the last time it was done was by me a month ago. Lol lol anyway I dusted and did the floors. Then got a few groceries so I could make a nice supper for the guys getting home. And guess what they were both in early that night. I knew they missed me. 😊

Of course the pipeline adventures started as soon as I got here. There is a shed here that on the side has a arrow pointing to around the corner for the laundry, I walked around the building 3 times and opened the door twice trying to figure out where the laundry was? I finally saw a building across the parking lot saying laundry. The signage here is not good.  Then as I was doing laundry, I was washing the doormats, which got stuck up in the washing machine as a uneven load. I had to go to the front desk to get the lady to come and unlock the door for me to get my rugs out. But when I went into see the manager lady I heard this barking like a dog was going to eat me alive, it barked and barked uncontrollably and she never even told it to shut up……finally I saw this dog, when you hear about tea cup dogs? Well this dog is the size of a tea cup. The tiniest dog I have ever seen. But it sure had a big mouth. Lol

I am still feeling really good. I do still have some redness on my left chest and my left back shoulder, I am using the cream I was told to get and it seems to be helping with the itching. It really does feel like a sunburn. Except it is more purple than red. I hope this is all I get. They told me at the Cross I could continue to have burning up to two weeks after radiation and tomorrow is already a week so I don’t think it will get any worse. Yesterday we went golfing and I kept myself all covered up so that the sun does not burn on top of my burn. I was the golf cart driver, I didn’t golf not sure if I was up to it. I think next time we go I will try though. 🏌

I am so happy to be here in Fort St John with my guys. Looking forward to making many more memories this summer. Lots of family time. Next weekend Mac’s girlfriend and all the kids are coming to spend a week so that will keep me busy. Looking very forward to that too. Happy life ❤️

Today’s saying:   FAMILY……Is not an important thing…it’s Everything. ❤️💐
